1. About Loy

Loy ("the app", "the service") is a mobile social and dating app that helps people discover each other at physical venues in the nightlife scene. The service is provided by Freja Vinge ("we", "us", "the provider"), with contact address support@loynightlife.com.

2. Acceptance of the terms

By creating an account, signing in, or using Loy, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept the terms, you must not use the service.

3. Age requirement – 18 years

Loy is available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old. You confirm that you are at least 18 when registering. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that turn out to belong to minors and to delete all associated data.

4. Your account

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide (name, date of birth, photos, biography, gender, interests, and location) is accurate, current, and not misleading. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. All activity that occurs through your account is your responsibility.

5. Use of location data

Loy uses your phone's GPS to (a) locate nearby venues, (b) verify that you are within 50 meters of a venue when checking in, and (c) automatically check you out if you leave the venue (more than 100 meters away). Your exact coordinates are never shared with other users – only the name of the venue you are checked in at may be visible to other checked-in users.

6. Photos and content

You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, and distribute the content within Loy to the extent required to deliver the service.

Content must not:

Contain nudity, sexual content, violence, or illegal material

Include another person's photos without their consent

Be misleading, abusive, or discriminatory

Include contact details, payment information, or links to external services

7. Conduct and prohibited behavior

You agree not to use Loy to harass, threaten, deceive, spam, or discriminate against other users. Selling goods or services, prostitution, soliciting for third-party services, or any unlawful action is prohibited. We may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules.

8. Matches, messages, and blocking

Matches occur only when both parties have given a mutual "like". A message request that is ignored functions as a soft block – the sender cannot send additional messages. You can block or report another user at any time via their profile. Blocked users cannot see each other in the app.

9. Reporting and moderation

We work continuously to keep Loy safe. Reports of inappropriate content or behavior are reviewed by our moderation team. We may issue warnings, hide photos, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who violate the terms. Decisions may be made without prior warning for serious violations.

Zero-tolerance for objectionable content (App Store Guideline 1.2): Users may flag any content or person they consider objectionable directly from the profile or chat screen. We review every report and remove objectionable content or eject the offending user within 24 hours. Repeated violations result in a permanent ban. There is no appeals process for sexual content involving minors, threats of violence, or other illegal material – such accounts are removed immediately.

You can also block any user from their profile screen. Blocking is instant and bidirectional – the blocked user can no longer see you, contact you, or appear anywhere in your feed, and any existing conversation is deleted for both of you.

10. Advertising

Loy may display sponsored ads in the feed via third-party services (e.g., Google AdMob). These may be based on anonymized user data and help fund the service.

11. No liability for real-life meetings

Loy is only a channel for introducing people. We do not perform background checks and cannot guarantee that other users are who they claim to be. Meetings with people you find via Loy happen entirely at your own risk. Be cautious: meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and end the interaction if something feels off.

12. Account termination

You can delete your account at any time via Profile → "Delete Account". When the account is deleted, all personal data, photos, messages, swipes, and matches are permanently removed. You can also send a deletion request to support@loynightlife.com.

13. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by Swedish law, Freja Vinge is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss, or damages arising from the actions of other users. Our total liability is limited to the amount you may have paid for the service during the past 12 months.

14. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email at least 14 days before they take effect. By continuing to use the service after the changes take effect, you accept the new terms.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes shall first be resolved through discussion. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the Gothenburg District Court (Göteborgs tingsrätt) shall be the court of first instance.
